We are looking to contract the services of various professional individuals with expertise in geospatial data management and tool development, scientific analyses and writing, and understanding of the agricultural and forest systems of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands for work associated with the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub. Candidates should have a Master’s Degree or PhD in environmental sciences, biology, ecology, geography, or related fields. Services are needed for 6 to 24 month projects beginning summer/fall 2017. Work will be based at Geographic Information Systems Laboratory at the USDA Forest Service International Institute of Tropical Forestry in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. The objective of the Caribbean Regional Chapter Stakeholder Engagement Workhop, hosted by the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub and by the U.S. Global Change Research Program, was to gather input from a diverse array of stakeholders throughout the region to inform the Caribbean chapter of the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4), and to share the process and timeline for the development of NCA4.
