Second Series of Technical Talks from the Caribbean Climate Hub!
The second series of the Caribbean Climate Hub Tech Talks will discuss new tools available to farmers and landowners. The Hub will have the participation of other agencies such as the National Weather Service in San Juan (NWS SJ) and the Puerto Rico Landslide Hazard Mitigation Office, University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.
Our tools aim to provide practical strategies to the agricultural and forestry sectors to adapt to climate change and extreme events (droughts, floods, or hurricanes). The Hub is working collaboratively with different agencies to promote their tools. In this way, we help disseminate resources to farmers and landowners.
It is encouraged to use cell phones, tablets, or computers to complete the workshop’s exercises. Each Tech Talk will last approximately 45 minutes, 11:00am – 11:45am AST. Services provided include oral translation from Spanish to English and Amercian Sign Language (ASL).
