SAVE THE DATE! NCA4 Caribbean Regional Chapter Stakeholder Engagement Workshop – March 09, 2017
Caribbean Regional Chapter – Stakeholder Engagement Workshop
March 09, 2017 in San Juan, Puerto Rico
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – RSVP by March 06!
What is the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA)?
The NCA is an effort to summarize the impacts of climate change on the United States. The assessments are conducted every 4 years. They provide a state of current conditions and project major trends for the next 25 to 100 years to assess potential effects on energy production and use, land and water resources, transportation, human health and welfare, human social systems, and biological diversity. The U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) is coordinating the development of the NCA4 which includes, for the first time, a U.S. Caribbean Regional Chapter.
We will share information about the NCA4 and about the Caribbean Regional Chapter, to present the draft key messages for input to improve the Chapter outline, to make potential users aware of what will be available, and to share the process and timeline for the development of NCA4.
NOTE: On March 10th, chapter authors will be meeting to integrate workshop outcomes in the Chapter outline.
