Nearly 300 farmers received information of the many USDA program available in the US Caribbean thanks to an outreach initiative titled "USDA Federal Aid Guidance and Registration Cycle", organized by the USDA Hurricane Recovery Team in Puerto Rico.

We are seeking a contractor to provide the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub (CCH) with technical support to compile, document, develop and analyze relevant geospatial information that the CCH can integrate in their mission to develop and deliver information that will help farmers, ranchers, and forest managers reduce the risks of climate change and improve rural economies and food security. El tercer taller ADAPTA del Centro Climático del Caribe del USDA se celebró en la UPR de Mayagüez y en la finca Alzamora de esa institución académica donde pudieron ver experimentos demostrativos de agroforestería o silvicultura, un tipo de producción agrícola donde se integran árboles frutales o madereros con cultivos de hortalizas y vegetales o con la cría de animales.
