Workshops: Climate Change Adaptation in the Agriculture and Forestry Sector

The Caribbean Climate Hub will provide workshops on Climate Change Adaptation in the Agriculture and Forestry sector. The purpose of these is for people to 1) identify the needs, climate challenges and opportunities of your land, 2) carry out a climate vulnerability analysis of the terrain and 3) learn about tools and programs for establishing practices and evaluations that support your climate adaptation process more effectively.
This first workshops series lasts for 3 hours, and is aimed at agriculture and forestry technical personnel, educators, farmers and researchers.

OneUSDA workshop SOILS: Agriculture, Forests and Conservation: Integrating Practices and Available Resources

The Caribbean Climate Hub and the Caribbean Soil Health Learning Network invite you to a discussion focused on soil health. It will provide practical information on mitigation measures, adaptation, resources available to farmers, agribusinesses and landowners in support of strategic and informed decision making in the face of climate change effects.
Wood Roots Forum: Root, Branch & Tree
Date: Tuesday, November 28 – Thursday, November 30, 2023.
An opportunity to share knowledge of forest resources and network with artisans and experts in the wood industry. Celebrate the beauty and value of Puerto Rican woods, trees, and forests. Open to the public interested in natural resource management, economic development, arts, science, and artisanal crafts. By registration at no cost. Both in-person and virtual attendance for some activities.
